O you who have believed, say not, "Rāʿinā" but say, "Unẓurnā" and listen. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment. And splendid companions, well matched (78.33) A provision for you and for your cattle. Who created death and life in order to test which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving. On the Day Allah resurrects them all together, He will then inform them of what they have done. Allah has kept account of it all, while they have forgotten it. For Allah is a Witness over all things. Surely, those who say, “Our Lord is Allah” and then stay firm, they will have no fear, nor shall they grieve. God takes the souls of the dead and the souls of the living while they sleep. He keeps hold of those whose death He has ordained and sends the others back until their appointed time. Holy is He Who created all things in pairs, whether it be of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they do not know. (36.36) If We willed, We could drown them: then no one would respond to their cries, nor would they be rescued—except by mercy from Us, allowing them enjoyment for a while. Wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other woman. If you are truly mindful of God, do not speak too softly in case the sick at heart should lust after you, but speak in an appropriate manner. Remain in your homes, and do not display your beauty as it used to be displayed in the days of earlier ignorance; and establish Salāh, and pay Zakāh, and obey Allah and His messenger.
