Wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other woman. If you are truly mindful of God, do not speak too softly in case the sick at heart should lust after you, but speak in an appropriate manner. Remain in your homes, and do not display your beauty as it used to be displayed in the days of earlier ignorance; and establish Salāh, and pay Zakāh, and obey Allah and His messenger. Allah only intends to keep all sorts of filth away from you, O members of the family, and to make you pure through a perfect purification. (33.32-33)
And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites and disregard their annoyance, and rely upon Allāh. And sufficient is Allāh as Disposer of affairs. (33.48)
O believers! If you marry believing women and then divorce them before you touch them, they will have no waiting period for you to count, so give them a compensation, and let them go graciously. (33.49)
Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace. (33.56)
O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized and not be harassed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (33.59)
And they will say, “Our Lord! We obeyed our leaders and elite, but they led us astray from the Way. Our Lord, give them double the punishment and curse them with a great curse." (33.67-68)
O believers! Be mindful of Allah, and say what is right. (33.70)
‘Make coats of chain mail and measure the links well.’ ‘Work righteousnes, for I see everything you do.’ (34.11)
They made for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues, bowls like reservoirs, and stationary kettles. We said, "Work, O family of David, in gratitude." And few of My servants are grateful. (34.13)
Say, “Our Lord will gather us together, then He will judge between us with the truth. For He is the All-Knowing Judge.” (34.26)
The disbelievers vow, “We will never believe in this Quran, nor in those before it.” If only you could see when the wrongdoers will be detained before their Lord, throwing blame at each other! The lowly followers will say to the arrogant leaders, “Had it not been for you, we would certainly have been believers.”
(34.31)
Whenever We sent a warner to a society, its elite would say, “We truly reject what you have been sent with.” Adding, “We are far superior in wealth and children, and we will never be punished.”
Say, “Surely my Lord gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever He wills. But most people do not know.”
It is not your wealth or children that bring you closer to Us. But those who believe and do good—it is they who will have a multiplied reward for what they did, and they will be secure in mansions. (34.34-37)
Say, “Surely my Lord gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever He wills of His servants. And whatever you spend in charity, He will compensate for it. For He is the Best Provider.” (34.39)
Those who lived before them also denied the truth- these people have not attained even a tenth of what We gave their predecessors- they, too, rejected My messengers, and how terrible My condemnation was! (34.45)
Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky with which We bring forth fruits of different colours? And in the mountains are streaks of varying shades of white, red, and raven black; just as people, living beings, and cattle are of various colours as well. Of all of Allah’s servants, only the knowledgeable are truly in awe of Him. Allah is indeed Almighty, All-Forgiving. (35.27-28)
Surely those who recite Allah’s Book and have established Salāh and have spent, secretly and openly, from what We have provided to them - they hope for a trade that will never crash. (35.29)
It is certainly We Who resurrect the dead, and write what they send forth and what they leave behind. Everything is listed by Us in a perfect Record. (36.12)
