O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allāh has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allāh does not like transgressors. (5.87)

Eat of the good, lawful things provided to you by Allah. And be mindful of Allah in Whom you believe. (5.88)

O believers! Intoxicants, gambling, idols, and drawing lots for decisions are all evil of Satan’s handiwork. So shun them so you may be successful. Satan’s plan is to stir up hostility and hatred between you with intoxicants and gambling and to prevent you from remembering Allah and praying. Will you not then abstain? (5.90-91)

And do righteous deeds. For Allah loves the good-doers. (5.93)

You who believe, do not ask about matters which, if made known to you, might make things difficult for you. (5.101)

But if you ask about them while the Qur’ân is being revealed, they will be made plain to you. Allâh has forgiven that, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing. (5.101)

People before you asked such questions, and then, as a result, became disbelievers. (5.102)

Who does more wrong than those who fabricate lies against Allah or deny His signs? (6.21)

If only you could see when they will be made to stand before their Lord! He will say, “Is this not true?” They will say, “Of course, by our Lord, it is.” He will say, “Then, taste the punishment, for you used to disbelieve.” (6.30)

Losers indeed are those who deny the meeting with Allah until the Hour takes them by surprise, then they will cry, “Woe to us for having ignored this!” They will bear the burden of their sins on their backs. Evil indeed is their burden! (6.31)

The worldly life is nothing but a game and fun, and the last abode is surely much better for those who fear Allah. Would you still not understand? (6.32)

We know well that what they say grieves you. It is not you they disbelieve: the evildoers reject God’s revelation. (6.33)

Indeed, many messengers have been rejected before you, but they stood patient against their rejection, and they were persecuted until Our help came to them. No one can change the words of Allah, and of course, some accounts of the messengers have already come to you. (6.34)

Had Allah so willed, He could have guided them all. So do not be one of those ignorant. (6.35)

Say, ‘He has power to send punishment on you from above or from under your very feet, or to divide you into discordant factions and make some taste the violence of others.’ See how We explain Our revelation in various ways, so that they may understand, (6.65)

And when you come across those who ridicule Our revelations, do not sit with them unless they engage in a different topic. Should Satan make you forget, then once you remember, do not continue to sit with the wrongdoing people. (6.68)

The righteous are not in any way held accountable for the wrongdoers; their only duty is to remind them, so that they may be mindful of God. (6.69)

Avoid those who have taken their faith as fun and games. The worldly life has deceived them. Yet remind them by this, so no one should be ruined for their misdeeds. They will have no protector or intercessor other than Allah. Even if they were to offer every possible ransom, none will be accepted from them. Those are the ones who will be ruined for their misdeeds. They will have a boiling drink and painful punishment for their disbelief. (6.70)

They have no grasp of God’s true measure when they say, ‘God has sent nothing down to a mere mortal.’ Say, ‘Who was it who sent down the Scripture, which Moses brought as a light and a guide to people, which you made into separate sheets, showing some but hiding many? You were taught things that neither you nor your forefathers had known.’ Say, ‘God,’ then leave them engrossed in their vain talk. (6.91)

This is indeed a Blessed Book We have sent down, confirming what was revealed before it, so that you may warn the town which is the Mother of All Towns and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they take due care of their prayers. (6.92)

Who does more wrong than the one who fabricates lies against Allah or claims, “I have received revelations!”—although nothing was revealed to them—or the one who says, “I can reveal the like of Allah’s revelations!”? If you could only see the wrongdoers in the throes of death while the angels are stretching out their hands, “Give up your souls! Today you will be rewarded with the torment of disgrace for telling lies about Allah and for being arrogant towards His revelations!” (6.93)

You have come to Us all alone, just as We had first created you, and you have left behind you what We had bestowed on you, and We do not see your intercessors with you - those whom you claimed to be Our partners in managing your matters. In fact, all ties between you are now severed, and all that you presumed has totally failed you. (6.94)

Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no deity except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with Allāh. If Allah willed, they would not have associated. We have not appointed you as a guard over them, nor are you a taskmaster for them. And do not insult those they invoke other than Allāh, lest they insult Allāh in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do. And they swear by Allāh their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with Allāh." What will make you realize that even if those signs were to come, they would still not believe? (6.106-110)
